Where We Go

Key West has no shortage of sandbars, and the best one on any given day depends on the wind and the tide. That's where local knowledge earns its keep. Snipes Point is the premier sandbar in the area — beautiful water, room to spread out, and the best snorkeling of the spots we visit. Boca Grande Key is another favorite, and there are plenty more depending on conditions. When the wind kicks up from one direction, certain sandbars get choppy and uncomfortable — so your captain reads the day and takes you where the water's calm and clear. You don't have to know any of this. That's our job.

What to Expect Out There

Once we reach the sandbar, the pace slows all the way down. Here's what a sandbar day looks like.

Drop Anchor and Unwind

We pull up to the sandbar in style, drop anchor, and let the day open up. Toss the floats in the water, wade into the shallows, and settle into island time. This is what you came for.

Soak It In

The sandbar has a reputation for boats blasting music and trying to outdo each other — that's not us. We keep it mellow so you can actually hear the water and enjoy the scene. It's a more relaxed, more enjoyable way to spend the day, and honestly it's how the sandbar is meant to be experienced.

Poke Around and Explore

Grab a mask and explore the shallows — you might spot fish, shells, or whatever the day turns up. It's laid-back exploring rather than a reef dive, and Snipes Point tends to have the best of it. A fun way to break up the lounging.

How Long Should We Go?

Sandbar trips run from 3 to 8 hours. For most groups, 4 hours is just right — enough time to settle in at the sandbar, take a detour through the backcountry, and soak it all up without the day dragging on.

Good to Know

Weather: We keep an eye on conditions and won't head out if it's truly nasty everywhere. But in the Keys, a passing rain shower is part of the deal — they roll through and roll out, and they're rarely a reason to cut the day short. If the weather genuinely won't cooperate, we'll work with you on timing.
